On August 24th and 25th, Henrik Lundqvist hosted his 2013 Citi ProCamp for children grades 1 through 10 at the Aviator Sports Arena in Brooklyn, NY. Henrik has run a goalie camp in his home country of Sweden for almost a decade. This year’s camp in Brooklyn was his second in the US. This was an opportunity for young players of all skill levels to take the ice with one of the NHL’s most dominant goaltenders. The learning experience was broken up into different sections to include the fundamentals of hockey, daily games, skills competitions and lectures from the finest coaches in the New York/Metropolitan area as well as Henrik Lundqvist himself. During these camps the groups stay small so that more individual attention is paid to each camper and the experience is one to remember forever. As most professional athletes do, Henrik always finds time to spend with the kids that look up to him. Lundqvist is the official New York Rangers spokesman for the Garden of Dreams Foundation. Henrik Lundqvist is not only a stellar player, but also a true class act and a great mentor for the future of the game.
