The Habs dropped a 6-1 decision to the Capitals as Alex Ovechkin scored four times, chasing Carey Price to the bench as he was replaced by Al Montoya after giving up four goals on 14 shots in the first.
It was worse for the Rangers Henrik Lundqvist as he was stung for five first period goals on only 17 shots to the high-scoring Maple Leafs.
